Frequently asked
What contractors usually want to know.
If your question isn't covered here, email [email protected] — we'll get you a real answer.
Is there a cost to join the FCB network?
No upfront cost to apply. Network economics are structured around shared customer acquisition and coordination — we'll walk you through the model on the vetting call so there are no surprises.
Do I keep my own business, branding, and customers?
Yes. You stay an independent business. FCB routes work to you, supports the customer-facing layer, and provides tools — your company and your direct relationships are your own.
What areas do you serve?
Our primary service area is the greater Houston region: Harris County, Katy, Cypress, Magnolia, and surrounding Texas markets. We're open to qualified pros across the state, especially as government-contract opportunities expand.
What is FCBOps and do I have to use it?
FCBOps is the FCB back-office workflow app — currently in active development on Lovable.dev. The lead-capture module is live; job profitability dashboard, photo receipt capture, and per-job expense tagging are rolling out as the platform matures. Network partners are expected to use the core workflow as features go live, and early partners help shape the build. You can run your own additional tools alongside it.
How does government contracting work through FCB?
FCB is registered as a single entity across nine relevant NAICS codes. Where appropriate, FCB pursues federal, state, and municipal opportunities as the prime entity and routes qualifying scope to network partners best matched to the trade and location. Joining the network does not guarantee government-contract awards or specific bid assignments — actual participation depends on scope, qualifications, and agency requirements.
Does FCB offer financing for me or my customers?
FCB does not provide financing. Where relevant, FCB can help customers prepare applications for third-party lenders, and we share information about financing options that partners can offer their customers. All lending decisions and terms are between the customer and the third-party lender.
What if my trade isn't on your list?
Reach out anyway. The core network is built around eight trades, but specialty pros — HVAC, flooring, masonry, landscape, fencing, and others — are welcome to apply, especially if you serve our Texas service area.
How long does onboarding take?
From application to active partner is typically one to two weeks: a 30-minute vetting call, a document check (insurance, license, W-9), an FCBOps setup walkthrough, and then live job matching.
